What happens during the Story Strategy Session?
Your first three chapters are professionally reviewed by one of our fiction editors at Lore & Legacy Press.
We evaluate five key areas of your manuscript:
Character Depth, Story & Narrative Arc, Thematic Resonance, Pacing & Structure, and Prose & Voice
Following the review, you’ll meet live with the editor who personally evaluated your story to discuss what’s working, where readers may disconnect, and how to strengthen the manuscript moving forward.
Selected authors may also be invited to join the Collective, our curated professional guild for Christian fiction authors preparing for long-term publishing success.
Is the Story Strategy a one-time fee?
Yes. Story Strategy is a one-time fee of $297.
Authors may receive an invitation to join the Collective Guild, which is a separate investment and part of our curated author development pathway.
From within the Collective Guild, authors may be offered a traditional publishing opportunity through Lore & Legacy Press, where publishing costs are covered by the publisher.
Do I need a completed manuscript to sign up for Story Strategy?
No. You only need the first three chapters of your manuscript completed.
In fact, getting professional editorial feedback early can save you significant time, frustration, and costly mistakes later in the writing and publishing process.
How does this differ from a traditional writing group?
The Collective is not a casual writing group.
It is an invite-only curated publishing guild for Christian fiction authors serious about refining their craft, building visibility, and preparing for long-term publishing success.
Inside The Collective, authors receive professional author development, Triple Threat Marketing training, screenwriting and cinematic storytelling training through Square Tree Productions, and the opportunity to pursue traditional publishing with a Christian publisher who shares their values.
